Description

The Tulip nebula or also known as Sh2-101 in Cygnus. This image includes 45.8 hrs of RGB, Ha and OIII data taken from my backyard Observatory in May, June and July 2019. As an added bonus the shock from the X ray source Cygnus X-1 is also visible to the upper right of the Tulip as a curved arc. This showed up best in the OIII data but also had a bit of Ha signal. The Tulip nebula lies some 6000 light yrs distant.
