Description

NGC 7635, also known as the Bubble Nebula, is an emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. Some 7,100 light-years away and 7 light-years across, the Bubble is created by a star at its center some 45 times more massive than our Sun, radiating out tremendous stellar wind and radiation pushing against dense material from a molecular cloud.

Taken from my Bortle 6-ish backyard with the use of narrowband techniques, where each of the 327 images that make up this final photo is taken through one of three filters that eliminate all but specific light wavelengths to be captured, corresponding to Ha, SII, and OIII gases.

Acquisition details (21.7 hours combined):

81 SII @ 240 seconds (5.4 hours)

70 OIII @ 240 seconds (4.6 hours)

176 Ha @ 240 seconds (11.7 hours)
