Description

I decided to make a second attempt on my Veil Nebula data, with the goal of arriving at something more "natural" looking. I tweaked the OSC color channels individually according to the response curves of my camera. Then I blended the green and blue channels (67% green, 33% blue) and pasted that result back into both green and blue channels. This made sense to me since the green and blue pixels of my camera are sensitive to the H-beta and Oiii wavelengths, but the green pixels are more sensitive than the blue ones. This is akin to taking separate H-alpha and Oiii data, and then assigning Ha to red and Oiii to green and blue.
