Description

Saturn's rotation between 10:46 and 11:16 UTC on Thu 1 Aug 2019.

Animation of three thirty minute WinJUPOS composites, approximately 9000 frames each. Very good seeing that evening allowed me to capture Saturn's subtle atmospheric features which are usually hard to resolve with a colour sensor.

Prominent in this view is a double ripple on the southern boundary of North Equatorial Belt (NEB) and the North Polar Hexagon with its central spot. A white spot is visible over the leading ripple within the NEB. North Polar Region is quite active with storms rotating into view on the western limb. The rings show nice amount of detail with Encke Division nicely resolved all around the planet.
