I had clear skies for the occultation of Saturn by the Moon, although as you can see from the video (via my DropBox), the seeing wasn't great.
To get the exposure such that Saturn could be seen meant over exposing the Moon as you can see in the video. To produce this image I used an HDR combination of the Moon and the planet. After the occultation I wound the gain down so the moon was properly exposed and then made a 4 minute video at 4fps before processing using the lucky imaging technique. With some difficulty I processed Saturn, by cropping away the moon and stacking the resultant video. I only had a few hundred images and the seeing wasn't great so the resultant Saturn image is not the highest resolution Saturn image I have ever produced. I then took a still from the movie and using this as a template inserted the planet image at a point where it was partially occulted by the Moon.
