Description

Jupiter shortly after sunset on Wed 7 Aug 2019 UTC.

Began recording in bright daylight and continued until seeing deteriorated. Overall conditions were average and detail soft so I've decided to stretch derotation interval / wavelets more than usual. This composite combines 14 stacks or approx. 13,000 frames taken between 5:21 and 5:39 pm Canberra time.

A more subdued hemisphere of the planet is on view with a nice festoon extending southward from the NEB. Little Polar Red Spot is just above visibility threshold rising above the western limb. Europa was actually in transit at the time (superimposed over the NTZ) but got smeared due to 19 minute integration period.
