Description

The Cat's Eye planetary nebula was one of my more difficult images to capture and process. It has a very high dynamic range from a low magnitude outer halo to the intense inner eye. The nebula’s extended halo has a diameter of approximately 5.8 arcminutes.

I ended up combining Ha, OIII, and SII in both 240s and 60s . All were taken from my driveway during the first two weeks in August 2019. I may redo this one next year with my ASI183mm cool for more detail.
