Description

The Double Helix Nebula in Aquarius, which rises and sets fairly low on the horizon at my location just outside NYC. My neighbors' trees and houses don't help either. On the best night, I have a window of about 2 hours imaging time on the Double Helix, that marks the time when it emerges from behind a large Maple and until it slips behind my neighbor's roof. But one makes the most of what one gets. The image was taken over four nights in July and August 2019 and comprises 6x600s in both Ha and OIII and 63x180s in Ha and 51x180s in OIII.
