Description

This is 6 stacked 4 minute live-stacks from SharpCap composed of 1.5s exposures.

The moon was nearly full, so a bright small planetary like NGC 7027 seemed a good target. Seeing was ok, but not great. I will have to try this one again on a night of really good seeing.

Three progressively fainter outer shells showed up outside the bright blue-white core, criss-crossed with dust lanes, from what I can tell and the HST images seem to indicate. I was surprised at the variety of color in this little object. At 8.5 magnitude, its so bright that it produces blurry diffraction spikes and a faint diffuse halo like a very bright star. I had to be careful with exposure and gain in order to avoid saturating the brightest parts of the nebula.
