Yes, I know this image is much TOO saturated and has several other deficiencies.... there's a reason.

This two panel mosaic was a pet astrophotography project I had been working on last winter and was hoping to complete by the end of the season. Unfortunately, bad weather, equipment problems, but mostly recurring health issues forced me to abandon the project far too early with not nearly enough data to produce the image quality that I wanted.

Finally, in February due to increasing health issues, I had to give up serious astrophotography altogether and sold my main equipment items. I still have my little Star Adventurer and access to a some camera lens so I hope to be able to dabble in a little widefield imaging from time to time.

Regarding the above image, because of the problem with insufficient data I decided to apply EXTREME processing methods in Photoshop on this one in order to end up with at least something for my efforts. As a result, this image is far more art than it is science. My apologies to the more serious atrophotographers out there who see this
