Description

The Draco Dwarf (UGC 10822) is a spheroidal galaxy that was discovered in 1954 by Albert George Wilson of the Lowell Observatory in Arizona. It is to be found some 260,000 light years away in the constellation of (you guessed it) Draco. It is thought to be a satellite of the Milky Way.

Data for this image were collected in late April 2019 from a dual TEC 140 rig located at Les Granges, Olly Penrice's facility in the Haut Alpes, France.

The imaging team consists of Olly Penrice, Tom O'Donoghue, Steve Milne and Lis Milne.
