Description

A very faint supernova remnant in Cassiopeia, about the size of the full moon (33 arcmin) and also known as LBN 576.

CTB 1 ( sometimes written CTB1 ) or was nicknamed 'Garlic Nebula' in 2015 by late CloudyNights member Goofi and I have to admit that the nebula indeed resembles a bulb of garlic or an onion.

This area of the sky was much more interesting than I expected. The background is filled with (even fainter) H-alpha clouds and the large filament structures on the right side of the frame might be part of another supernova remnant as well. There's also this small oval structure near the bottom of the frame. I couldn't find much info about it but this appears to be a planetary nebula called PN We 2-262. I found it annotated on Jens Zippel's image of CTB 1.
