Description

NGC 3521 is a flocculent spiral galaxy located about 35 million light years away in Leo. Spanning about 50,000 light years, the galaxy is embedded in gigantic bubble-like shells. The shells are likely tidal debris - streams of stars torn from satellite galaxies that have undergone mergers with NGC 3521 in the distant past. (APOD)

First light with my ASI2600MM. It's apparent my imaging train distance needs a bit of a tweak.
