Description

This is a work-in-progress. The final work will be an 18 panel, 14 degree mosaic of Cygnus from NGC 7000 to the Crescent Nebula. Shot at 3.50 arcseconds per pixel with a Takahashi FSQ-106ED and an SBIG STL-11000M, this comprises the Luminance portion of the image only, and in full resolution is 9959 x 13398 pixels (cropped), or 133 megapixels. It has not been cleaned up for stray hot pixels, and the mosaic stitching is an imperfect PhotoShop CS5 auto-PhotoMerge. Each of the 18 panels contains 2 hours of luminance, 12 x 600 seconds. I also have already acquired RGB (7 x 300 seconds each), H-Alpha (20 x 900 seconds each), and OIII (6 x 600 seconds). Much work remains to be done before I can produce a composite HaLRGBOIII image.
