Description

The Leo nebula is a vast area of hydrogen and ionized oxygen 10400 light years away from the solar system, located in the Perseus arm of our galaxy in the molecular zone Cepheus OB1. The ionization of the area is induced by two large Woolf Rayet stars. One of the two stars Wolf Rayet emits a large amount of radio waves. in the past this area was a large star formation center, and traces of it remain in the fact that several sources of infrared radiation are visible in the nebula itself.
