Description

Messier 102 (NGC 5866, Spindle Galaxy), is a lenticular galaxy residing in the constellation Draco. It was originally observed by Pierre Méchain in 1781.

The Spindle galaxy is calculated 50 million light years from Earth, with a radius of 35,000 light-years, and a community of 100 billion stars.
