Description

When I went outside tonight I intended on imaging Comet C2018 N2 ASASSN again. However tonight I wanted to use my Astro Tech AT6RC Ritchey Cretien Scope to see how it would do with this comet. I felt the longer focal length of this scope would bring the comet in a little closer.

However I searched for hours and never could get the comet in my image. I moved my scope 30 or 40 times and took a test image each time I moved the scope. I also kept checking the finder chart that I got on the Heavens Above web site. The comet has moved from where it was last night when I imaged it but it has not moved far. It was getting late and I would soon be racing the Moon. I liked my test images that showed Mirach and NGC 404 the Ghost of Mirach. The little galaxy looked much better in my image tonight than it did in my comet image last night. So since I was already on NGC 404 I decided to image it instead of wasting my night. I thin the bright star Mirach and NGC 404 make a pretty image.
