The Rosette Nebula (without any filter!)
From my home backyard (Bortle Scale Class 5) it has been my first attempt!
There was not too much humidity that night and the main instrument lens remained clean during all the time.
I really again worked a lot in the post-processing in order to extract and clean as much as possible the signal. But the emotion was huge when it appeared in its delicacy, like a rose in the sky. I did not want in post processing to 'force' to much curve stretching, nor too much the contrast details in order to maintain the image as natural as possible and also in order to maintain low the noise. 10h in post processing
126min total integration (37 x 180s + 3 x300s @800ISO light frames) + flat/dark/bias frames.
Refractor PrimaLuceLab ED100 @f/6 + AVX mount + Canon EOS 550D and guide with a self-converted 9x50 finderscope.
PHD2 + Canon EOS Utility + Deep Sky Stacker + Adobe Photoshop CS6
