Description

While testing out some new software updates and my new ASI533MC camera, I decided to track and image comet 67P-Churyumov-Gerasimenko.  The sky was clear and it was very cold (-8C) and the moon was nearly full.  Moonlight really messed with the image causing the (expected) heavy gradients in the image.  But this is what I was able to get considering the not-so-ideal conditions.

An interesting aside ...
I noticed there is a small faint star-like patch just to the left of the comet's nucleus. Since all the stars should show trails I'm not sure what this object is. It could not be found on any of the light subs, and only shows up once the subs are stacked.  Could be a processing defect, or a piece of the comet? A mystery.
