Description

It is thought that this galaxy might be the result of two colliding galaxies. It certainly is unique looking.

 This was fun to image and process. I use a pretty standard pixinsight flow. I  also did a little tweaking with photoshop, primarily levels adjustment and some selective sharpening and bluring.   I would love to have captured a lot of Ha data to get the H2 regions better. Unfortunately I didn't appreciate that at the time I was collecting the data. Maybe next year.

I collected this data over 11 nights from Nov 28, 2021 to Jan 6, 2022. The data set consists of

L = 49 x 600s
R = 52 x 600s
G = 51 x 600s
B = 59 x 600s

I also collect at least 10 flat images each night for each filter used that night.

Description: This version has some slight additional sharpening to the galaxy core. I don't want to overdo it. As always, comments are welcomed
