Description

This area of the constellation Auriga contains the well known open cluster M36 (left) and the maybe lesser known ngc1907 cluster (upper right). The latter is located next to M38. M38 is, however, just outside of this field and not visible here. In the middle of the frame is tiny little ngc1931, a small nebula located about 7000 light years from us. The nebula to the right is IC417.

This images is obtained with my, not modified, Sony a7s camera set to ISO6400.
