Description

I love the unusual structure and symmetry of this delicate galaxy!!! NGC 1398 is a barred spiral galaxy in 65 million light years away in Fornax, it has a prominent double ring structure.
The spiral arms do not begin in the middle of the galaxy but rather emanate from a straight bar which passes through the galaxy center.
Dust lanes in the central portion of the galaxy are clearly visible.
Imaged in LRGB on the RiDK 700 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile
Many thanks to Mike (Website throughlightandtime.com) for the awesome image data and preprocessing!
Processed in Pixinsight and Maxim DL for deconvolution, and Photoshop.
