These faint dusty clouds of integrated flux nebula known as MBM 54, though less than a thousand light years distant, reside outside of the galactic plane of our own galaxy and are dimly illuminated only by the Milky Way's combined starlight.
Spiral galaxy NGC 7497, in the center of this image, lies some 60 million light years distant. Numerous other small galaxies sprinkle this dusty field of faint IFN.
