Description

My first attempt at a comet animation. Took 93 30-second subs from a livestack and stacked 3 subs into one (no calibration frames) for a total of 31 frames, which I ran ABE, MLT, Histogram, and Curves each. I put the gif together with Camtasia at .04 a frame. Does anyone know what the moving object in the little red box is, by chance? ANSWER: Asteroid  (877) Walküre (thanks to everyone that helped me find this on the Astrobin Forum!)

Cool link to the orbital path of the comet is here: http://astro.vanbuitenen.nl/comet/132

The asteroid description: 877 Walküre is a dark background asteroid from the inner regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 38 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 13 September 1915, by Russian astronomer Grigory Neujmin at the Simeiz Observatory on the Crimean peninsula.
