Description

The Great Orion Sword is one of the most known winter sky objects, and one of the most imaged portion of the sky. Visible by naked eye during winter, lies at the center of Orion Costellation.

I imaged it with my new Borg 71FL, with a focal length of 280mm (using #7879 reducer, @ f3.9), under very dark skies. The seeing was really poor and this affected the shape of starts, that are all “bloated”.

On my blog you can find the full process workflow in Pixinsight.
