Description

This Astrobin Debut Object is a faint dwarf galaxy located 30 million light years away in the constellation of Leo Minor at a declination of +32 degrees. This magnitude 15 galaxy spans 1.5 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 15,000 light years. This galaxy was classified by Dr. Arp into the category of Galaxies with Irregular Clumps.

This is probably the dimmest of the 313 Arp objects in terms of magnitude per unit area. One visual observer with a 25 inch scope saw it only 10% of the time with averted vision.
