Description

I'm learning PixInsight, and finally got some decent result!

Tell me, which version of my astrophoto do you prefer?

These are results of different processing of a stack of 6 shots 5 minutes long taken on 2013-08-06 using a Canon 550D with a Nikon Nikkor 28 mm open at f/3.5 and 1600 ISO, together with an Astronomik UHC-E filter.

Camera on a Celestron CG-5 mount, guided using a 60 mm finder and a SkyWatcher Synguider guider.

Unfortunately, the Milky way was low on the horizon, so I got a nasty gradient that was very difficult to remove, even using the awesome DBE tool of PixInsight.

Another mistake: I forgot that I shot those frames at 1600 ISO, and took a bunch of dark frames at 800 ISO, so noise couldn't be managed the right way.

By the way, I'm quite happy with these first results, but I'd like lo listen some tips from you. I'm learning!!!
