Description

This image is a four panel Mosaic taken from my observatory here in Utah. I've reallly wanted to image Andromeda with my new ES triplet and mount, The field of view would just not accomodate the whole galaxy, thus the Maosaic image.

I also wanted to see the difference in detail and resolution this would provide from other times I have imaged this fantastic neighbor of ours. I hope you enjoy.

The Andromeda Galaxy, also known as Messier 31, M31, or NGC 224 and originally the Andromeda Nebula, is a spiral galaxy approximately 780 kiloparsecs from Earth, and the nearest major galaxy to the Milky Way. The galaxy's name stems from the area of the Earth's sky in which it appears, the constellation of Andromeda.
