Description

From the archives... Reprocessing of some two year old .avi, indeed my only capture of Mercury so far!

With a little more knowledge, the data were not as bad as I thought back then, so, here it is:

LRGB combination resulted in some surface details visible. At the time, Mercury was 48% illuminated, presenting a 7.4 arcsec diameter, just 8 degrees above the horizon (!!!). I can't believe the seeing allowed this, but the data repeated on the R channel and in the IR, so it must be real. The simulated view given by WinJupos, processed to give similar blurring looks very similar, so I tried to spot some of the albedo markings. Cheers little one!
