Description

Check out my shot of IC410, the Tadpole Nebula. It's an emission nebula in the constellation of Auriga. Its core has an apparent size of roughly the full moon and its distance to earth is about 12000 light years. The two gas and dust pillars in the center region are responsible for its name. Each of those star forming gas pond, with the shape of a tadpole, is roughtly 10 light years in length. Check out the last image for a close-up! This picture was taken over two nights from 29. to 31. of December 2019 at Sattelegg in the canton Schwyz.
