Description

The yield of observing night August 12/13 with my mobile equipment.

Seeing was quite good (4-5/5), the planets as usual low in the summer sky, just 20-25° above horizon. For Mars it would have payed to wait a little longer to rise, so the image is more like a "quick shot". Hope you like it anyway.

The three images have true relative apparent sizes, i.e. the same focal length was used for all.

Mars: Sinus Meridani is prominent in the central part, the South Polar Cap seems to show a detached "snow field" (also identifiable in other people's images)

Jupiter: CM1 33.5°, CM2 160.6°, CM3 245.1°, Lat -1.5°

Saturn: hint of N polar hexagon, the dark structure in the A ring is likely an artefact
