Description

An old project of mine that I finally managed to complete. I had to take extra care not to burn the cores. Probably the most difficult part was finding the color balance. After many hours of work and trial and error, I'll stick to this version : )

ARP 273 is a pair of interacting galaxies situated in Andromeda 300 million l.y. away. The smaller companion is five times less massive than the larger galaxy. It was first described by Alton Harp in his Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies (Wikipedia).
