Description

Revised 3/2023:
Applied new methods and tools.  BXT was used with a light touch.  Issues with stars caused problems.  First time using Generalized Hyperbolic Stretch.  But did not use it exclusively.  Learning curve issues.  This is a crop to better display some detail at native size.  I had plenty of time on this, but there were some backspacing issues at the time, so BXT star correction caused some double stars in some locations.

Old Description:
An OSC image of the NGC 1893 and Tadpoles taken one rare open night last week. Stars and more stars on this one. Plate solving claimed more than 46,000. Processed this a couple different ways and presenting the one I like best. Obviously, the one with less stars! Because of sky position, this one started later in the night. Because of this, I was limited to 30 decent frames because the fog moved in early morning.

I am also posting a "revision" that is a single sub, stretched to highlight what I see as strings or arcs of stars that I often see associated with these types of star-forming nebulae. I have always thought these to be random star alignments that are not necessarily real. But in this case I the many arcs seen near the center of this nebula appears to suggest that they may be real and actually a part of star formation in groups. I argue this because these are not present in a star saturated area. So the chance that this many arcs appear to us by chance alignment seems nil. I tried to research this online, but to no avail. I have other examples in other shots that I have. So I ask if anyone else has also seen these strings of pearls? I have seen straight ones, but most have a rather gentle curve to them. They seem to mostly have stars of very similar brightness and are often spaced incredibly uniformly along their arc, though not always. If I had to guess, I would say that these are created out of the process of star formation itself. For example, a large progenitor star ignites (or group of stars), and blows gas and dust away from itself to form a rather large bubble/void in the gas and dust. But in doing so these materials actually become rather concentrated at the receding fronts of the bubble and it is there that new stars form in the densest part of the cloud. Being that these stars all form in a similar environment near the front of the bubble, they tend to be of the same age, size and lie along the arched bubble edge, which then blow clear of dust and gas, limiting their size. Anyone have any other ideas?

Description: Here is the single sub, stretched to highlight the stars in the arcs along with a bit of the nebula for position. Yellow arrows mark the start and or the end of the arcs as I see them. Some almost for ellipses.
