Description

Is it a bird?, is it a dolphin ? No its shrimp ...

Sharpless2 - 188

First time I have tried imaging this planetary nebula. Could really have done with a few more hours on it but the weather has been terrible last couple of weeks so no opportunity and I feel like i should move on to something else

Consequently I have only got the brighter part of the nebula , which from what i have read is caused by a shock wave from the central star which is moving very rapidly

Taken over four nights between 21/11 and 15/12

Oiii signal very weak , not helped by the moon , terrible gradients in the Oiii data as well

Ha 34 x 300s
Sii 36 x 300s
Oiii 23 x 300
= 7 hrs 45 mins
