Description

This image is the sum 396 60 secs unguided subs taken on the night of the 26th of April 2022 with a QHY 268 mono, a Newton 250 F 3.9 Orion USA, an Omegon coma corrector, on top of an Ioptron CEM60EC.
Aquisition, stacking and processing (crop, gradient removal, DDP, deconvultion) for the mono image with Astroart.
Alligning mono and color images with Astroart. Combining mono and color images with PS.

This has been the first image I have done using correctly the Omegon coma corrector. Comparing with the Explore Scientific has a much less problematic gradient, that can be corrected with flats and post processing. Meanwhile result is not as good in terms of stars size and coma correction.

This has been also the first image I was able to use properly the C5 at F 6.3 with the DSLR. Using the DSLR for taking color is very nice, because it doesn't require any cable. I am also using a remote controlled intervallometer that works very nicely, avoiding also the cable between the intervallometer and the camera. But image resulting is not that nice. I am thinking to buy, in future, an 80ED refractor for this job. With the C5 on top of the Newton I am really at maximum loading weight for the CEM60EC in order to have it performing correctly. With previous refractor (90ed F10) weight was too much and mount didn't work like it is doing now.

NGC 4725 is an intermediate barred spiral galaxy with a prominent ring structure,[9] located in the northern constellation of Coma Berenices near the north galactic pole. It was discovered by German-born astronomer William Herschel on April 6, 1785. The galaxy lies at a distance of approximately 40 megalight-years from the Milky Way.

NGC 4725 is the brightest member of the Coma I Group of the Coma-Sculptor Cloud, although it is relatively isolated from the other members of this group. This galaxy is strongly disturbed and is interacting with neighboring spiral galaxy NGC 4747, with its spiral arms showing indications of warping. The pair have an angular separation of 24′, which corresponds to a projected linear separation of 370 kly. A tidal plume extends from NGC 4747 toward NGC 4725.(Wikipedia)
