Description

Large Magellanic Cloud is the brightest galaxy visible in our sky other than the Milky Way. At 0.9 magnitude, it can be readily seen as a cloudy object in southern places. LMC is also the biggest satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, and the gravity distortion has triggered intense star formation in LMC, also leading to the development of some of the largest emission nebulae in the local group, including the famous Tarantula, which can be seen close to the center of the image. Original data acquired by Alpha Zhang, as the SII channel presented emission patterns similar to, but fainter than the Ha channel, I omitted the SII chanenl and combined LRGBHO for the creation of this image. Total integration 30 h.
