Description

Crescent Nebula shot from suburban Bortle 6-7 backyard exposed on 11/3, 11/4, 11/5, and 11/6/2021 using Zeiss APQ130, Explore Scientific 0.7 Flattener/Reducer, Optolong L'eNhance filter, ASI2600MC Pro camera. Total integration 275 minutes.  I think I need more data to further bring out the faint blue shockwave enveloping the core structure of this nebula.  Located in the constellation Cygnus near the star Sadr it is a violent interaction of converging stellar winds.

I've added a pointer to the Soap Bubble Nebula PN G75.5+1.7 (thanks HaSeSky!!).  You will need to zoom in a bit to see it.  This is the nebula discovered by amateur astrophotographer Dave Jurasevich in 2007.  It's an inspiring story for all those who collect these antique photons.
