It's been unseasonally cold and wet in my part of the world in recent weeks, so I've decided to tackle this wonderful northern hemisphere target for the first time, using 2006 data kindly shared by Jim Misti (Misti Mountain Observatory).

I'm surprised how dense the starfield is across the Cygnus Loop area … quite a stretch for my fledgling PixInsight starless abilities, especially dealing with the resulting artefacts.

My original version was LRGB only, but with many of the Lum stars saturated.
Ha has proven much better as luminance, with tighter unsaturated stars.

Addition of some OIII data would certainly help to bring out more details!
If anyone knows of a public Ha/OIII dataset, feel free to message me.
