Description

It is a field of craters dominated by a famous crater, probably difficult to recognize here, it is Tycho, home of a vast system radiating the Moon, and one of the youngest lunar craters whose age has been estimated at 100 million years (diameter 85 km-deep 4850 m).

I waited for the right moment to image it, i.e. one day after the first quarter in order to benefit from lighting that limits the glare and therefore the classic saturation of the image as on a full moon view for example.

Thus, it is possible in these conditions to admire its terraced enclosure and this formidable central mountain range of 1600 m altitude that casts its shadow in the enclosure.

Technically, and not to mention the need for good weather, the focal length and frequency of image chosen seem to me satisfactory for this type of image with a C8.
