Description

Rosette nebula NGC 2237 is a giant molecular cloud in the constellation of Monoceros. It’s an emission nebula and contains a young open star cluster NGC 2244 which makes this region an H II super hot region from the x-ray radiation from the new born stars in the nebulosity. Its distance from the Earth is 5200 ly.
