Description

Imaged on nights of 2020/9/20, 2020/10/1, 2020/10/2, 2020/10/4

Abell 51 is a practically never imaged planetary nebula in Sagittarius. This is the first image on Astrobin, and I found no color images on the web. Abell51 is very small, measuring only 1.1 arc minutes and has a magnitude of 15. It is barely visible on the RGB image, but both Ha and Oiii show fairly well with Oiii about 3 times stronger than Ha. This is everything I could find on the web about this PN. Very obscure. A prominent blue star is centered in Abell51, the apparent source for this PN.
