NGC 5195 (also known as Messier 51b or M51b) is a dwarf galaxy that is interacting with the Whirlpool Galaxy (also known as M51a or NGC 5194). Both galaxies are located approximately 25 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici.

Lum was created from extracting a SynthL image from the RGB for process and deconvolution then reintegrated with RGB.
Imaging and Processing Notes
During the night of February 27, 2020 I was just imaging with the Blue filter. The next morning reviewing the data I noticed nine frames where the star HIP 66004 flared up and receded back to normal. At first I thought maybe some clouds passed through but there were no clouds at the time. The second thing I noticed is that the rest of the image including the target galaxy and the remaining twenty three frames were not affected by the sharp increase of HIP 66004. The rest of the field in all frames were unaffected. So I decided to leave these frames (36 min total) in the final image. HIP 66004 appears to be a little bit fuzzy as a result and the rest of the image is in sharp focus. As a side note, seeing conditions were pretty good that evening, skies clear and was just coming out of the new moon phase so sky glow was not a factor that evening.
Ha data will be added later to enhance the galaxy.
