Description

This is the second time I do a try on this galaxy, this time I also wanted to include the smaller neighbour ones. The stretch was fast after colour calibration. For some reason there is the tendency to go yellowish. The contrast to those rich blue stars makes it more dramatic.

There is a set of groups of galaxies in the Centaurus constellation, and the NGC 4945 and 4976 are considered as part of the conglomerate of those galaxies. Also there is a nice feature of this galaxy, as it host a massive black hole:  (https://www.eso.org/public/images/potw1007a/) but that has become more a normal issue rather than an exception. Nowadays black holes are almost everywhere, and I believe is part of a kind of homogeneity from the very large scale point of view.
Regarding the BH, there is a fantastic image from NASA, a mixture of X-ray and optical images. https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/chandra/multimedia/galaxy-ngc4945.html
