Description

sinus Iridum

Sinus ( Bays '' or '' Small Plain ) - Small gulf, narrow mouth , which extends into the interior . Ex Sinus Iridum (image below )

Sinus Iridum , around half its crater and the Jura Mountains , is one of the favorite targets of all lunar observers .

The mountains always seem to catch the light in a special way , and in the best lighting has a very interesting contrast blending the brightness to darkness on both sides . The low sun across the floor is something unusual , and here each small crater stands out as a ring of light . The low lighting also emphasizes the sea and the Alps . There seems to be two families of peaks and most parallel to the coast of the Mare Imbrium .

The dorsas ( peculiar sinuous ridges low ) become very prominent and easily visible on the flat floor of the bay .

Two beautiful craters embedded in Montes Juras stand out easily ( Bianchini and Sharp ) deserve a note part . The Promotorium Laplace and Heraclides move out to sea giving this training a unique feature that has no equal on the Moon

An area worthy of further study and photographed !

Stacking of 156 frames in AS ! 2 with post processing in Photofiltre and Irfan .
