Description

This trio of small galaxies are all located about 90 million light years away in the constellation of Pegasus at a declination of +16 degrees.  Based on the deformation seen in each of the 3 objects, I believe that these galaxies are interacting.

NGC 7463 is the largest galaxy, but still is only about 50,000 light years in diameter.  It has a fascinating barred grand spiral structure, with a yellow core and blue disk.  The arms are somewhat distorted, and at each arm end a plume of stars extend into space, further on the right side than on the left.

NGC 7464 is the small 15,000 light year diameter dwarf galaxy just below.  It is a mess, likely due to the influence of NGC 7463.

NGC 7465 is the small but bright spiral to the lower left.  Faint star streams extend from the galaxy into the lower left region of space.  It also looks like it is interacting with NGC 7463.

Two interesting edge-on spirals are seen in the top half of the image, both also disturbed.
