Description

Classic barred spiral galaxy sitting in Ursa Major. Also one of the more difficult object due to its closeness to Phecda and the glare that it can cause in the optical train. First full project with the 1100GTO mount. Zero issues with guiding and the typical RMS via off-axis was between .28-.38 depending over 5 nights. Of course the better nights were the RGB data. Still the Lum data does not have that pop in it. Thinking either the optics might be due for a cleaning (they do have a haze to them) or the collimation could be touched up...or both.
