Description

NGC 5907 (also known as Knife Edge Galaxy or Splinter Galaxy) is a spiral galaxy located approximately 50 million light years from Earth. It has an anomalously low metallicity and few detectable giant stars, being apparently composed almost entirely of dwarf stars. (Source: Wikipedia)

I've went ahead and swapped my imaging train from the EdgeHD to the Esprit 120 for testing, given the issues I was having with the EdgeHD. Using an OSC while the moon was out around 70% and from Bortle 6 is not usually recommended, but I did enjoy that I didn't have to worry about time per filter. The gradients were tough to deal with though.

The 1600MM is back on the scope while I process another target with this setup, patiently waiting for nebulae to be back.

Clear skies and stay safe!
