Description

The Pleiades, more commonly known as the 'Seven Sisters', has many other names as it has be named by most cultures since antiquity. It is a young (~100 million years) star cluster containing a number of very large and hot blue/white stars and is ~400 light years from Earth. The stars are passing in front of a gas and dust cloud that reflects blue light, much better shown at Perth Observatory's semi-dark skies compared to my home suburban skies.
