Description

Observed with my C6-RGT (6" achromat) on Jan 20th, 2013.

Such a nice little cluster. About 2 dozen or so stars within little triangle that makes it up. The golden star in the one leg of the triangle is quite distinct. I wish I had darker skies tonight because I think it would be very pretty. Doesn't take up much of the FOV in the 24mm Widefield, maybe about 1/16th of field (so diameter is about 5'). Hard to say how far out it really goes. With the 7mm Nagler it takes up roughly 1/6th of FOV (so again roughly 5'). About 2 dozen stars within confines of triangle and another dozen outside but likely members. I like this one. The one star that makes up the vertex of the triangle is a double. An unequal pair. The companion points roughly in the direction of another star making up a different vertex of the triangle.
