Description

Many of my friends wonder why this is called the elephant trunk nebula; they rather see some kind of Greek Goddess. So here's the SHO Goddess, first light with my 2600MM and astronomik filters. I'm delighted by this equipment, camera sensitivity is great and filters are halo free, it is a real pleasure to process the pictures under such conditions! No Dark where used here. As far as the processing I tried to inspire myself from the iconic pillars of creation picture from the HST, in particular I was happy to get that yellow glow arround the nebula; that wou can observe on the pillar picture as well. Hope you'll enjoy!
